Hi! My name is Taunnie. Several years ago I started meditating. Little did I know at the time the profound changes that meditation would bring to my life. Meditation has not only helped me become a more patient and happy person, it has helped me to become a more compassionate person. All of the relationships in my life have vastly improved. My stress and anxiety levels have dropped to almost non-existence. My health has improved tenfold. My blood pressure has gone down, I’m sick a lot less often, and my tummy troubles are gone. Part of that can probably be attributed to my becoming a vegan. And of course, I became a vegan as a result of meditation!

When I first started meditating, I had no clue what I was doing. I did no research. I had no idea if there was a right or wrong way. I just jumped in with an off-the-cuff, let’s-see-what-happens approach. Good thing for me there really isn’t a wrong way to meditate! That being said, I have learned more effective ways to meditate. =)

As I mentioned before, meditation changed just about every aspect of my life. And just like with meditation, I just jumped right in to those changes, not to the same extent as with meditation though. For example, I did a lot of research on becoming a vegan before full committal. I also crawled the web looking for recipes that would be nutritious and not leave me starving!

But, as far as I’ve come, I’m not where I want to be. I think life is personal evolution. It’s about the process. The benefits are just the sprinkles on top. =) I know that sometimes (well, mostly) I shy away from embracing the experience of evolving (could be just maybe, that I’ve fallen flat on my face so many times—might be time to rethink the off-the-cuff-approach!) but I have found that I am a better person from my misadventures (If for no other reason than that I learned what NOT to do!).

I envision this blog to be a place to share what I have learned, where you can share what you have learned, and a place where we can find resources for us to learn together. I also envision this blog being a place where we can find support because, let’s face it, change is hard and sometimes a “Good Job”! makes all the difference.

So, Won’t you please join me on this adventure? You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, other assorted other social media, and of course through my Contact page. Let the journey begin =)
